Technology Help for Students and Parents
School @ Home
Dear Students and Parents,
In an effort to make the transition to learning at home easier, we are putting together a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page with explanations, help documents, links to helpful articles, and instructional videos. It is our hope that these resources will help you utilize technology better while at home. If there is something you would like added to this FAQ, please feel free to email me.

If you don’t see your FISD Bookmarks from a PC, then you need to log in to your Chrome Browser. Watch this video to see how to do it.
If your teacher wishes for you to use Zoom for video conferencing, it is available in the Forestburg ISD Chrome Webstore for you to install.
Important: Do not sign up for a zoom account. You do not need one to join a meeting.
Here is how you do it:
1. Open your browser
2. Type in "Chrome Web Store" and hit enter.
3. Click on "Chrome Web Store - Google Chrome"
4. Make sure For forestburgisd.net is selected (in blue)
5. Scroll down and find ZOOM. Click on it to install it.
6, Click Add to Chrome
7. Choose Add app
That’s all there is to it!
Need to scan documents to send to your teachers while learning @ home? You can do this easily with the built-in Notes App. Please see this article, “Scan Documents with the iOS Notes App”, published by TCEA’s Tech Notes using this link.
For further assistance, please send an email to the technology director, Rich Lewis, at rich.lewis@forestburgisd.net
I check my email multiple times a day, and notwithstanding other problems that arise beyond my control, I should be able to get back to you within an hour or two.
