Through a commitment to the use of highly reliable standards integrated with technology we will develop knowledgeable thinkers prepared to be successful in their adult lives.
FISD recognizes the importance in developing and maintaining partnerships with parents and community members. A positive link between community, home, and school will create the best learning environmemt possible for every student.
We know that open communication lines

Grade level learning objectives and goals will be distributed to parents at the beginning of the school year. All students will be expected to work toward mastering these objectives. Our district recognizes the fact that some students will need extra assistance to achieve their full potential. That extra assistance is available to all students through the Title I Program and various other educational services.

Parental Involvement in Developing Policy
The Site Based Decision Making Team is comprised of parents, community members, administrators, teachers, and other staff members. This committee meets annually to evaluate various programs including community and parent involvement.
Family Engagement Plan
Forestburg Elementary provides a safe environment for every child. Our Pre-K program helps students achieve high levels of academic excellence as productive, self-motivated, competitive, independent thinkers.
We understand that strong family engagement in early childhood promotes a child's intellectual, physical, social emotional development, prepares a child for school, and supports academic achievement in Elementary School and beyond.
The best predictor of student achievement is a family unit that creates a home environment which encourages learning, communicates high yet reasonable expectations for a child's achievement, and becomes involved in the child's education at school.
Families are encouraged to volunteer in classrooms and participate in family nights. Every staff member aims to build respectful and trusting relationships with families within our school.
Policy and Procedures for Translation Services
Forestburg ISD takes all reasonable steps to ensure that students and their parent(s) have meaningful access and an equal opportunity to participate in our services, activities, programs and other benefits.
Interpreters, translators and other aids are provided to students and their families free of charge. Language assistance will be provided through use of competent bilingual staff, staff interpreters, or technology related services.
Forestburg ISD will conduct a regular review of the language access needs of our student population, as well as update and monitor the implementation of this policy and these procedures, as necessary.
