Graduation & College

Graduation & College Prep

Overview

Forestburg ISD is committed to providing the education your child needs to reach his or her potential.  Various high school graduation programs are available from the Foundataions Level to the Distinguished Level.  We offer Career and Technology Education (CTE) courses as well as Gifted and Talented (GT) Services.

Dual Credit

College is expensive.  An easy way to help offset some costs is to take dual-credit courses through North Central Texas College.  Dual-credit courses allow you to get high school credit for the course as well as college credit.  While we realize not every student is college-bound, we encourage every student to be familiar with these educational opportunities.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Students are encouraged to sign up for the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website as soon as possible (after January 1st).  Sign up with your parents to get a PIN to apply for college financial aid.  The official FAFSA website can be found here.    (Not FAFSA.com, which requires a fee.)

Another way of offsetting college costs is to apply for scholarships.  There are thousands of scholarships at the national, state, and local levels that offer FREE money for tuition (some include housing).  Scholarship opportunities will be listed in the Graduation & College section of our website.
