I attended Montague ISD through 8th grade, then went to Nocona High School for 3 years, where I graduated early (when I was only 16!) in 2007. I went to the University of North Texas to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature with a minor in Spanish. I also took classes from Vernon College, North Central Texas College, and the Universidad de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico when I studied abroad.

Bachelor’s Degree – English Literature (minor in Spanish)
This is my first year at Forestburg. I will be teaching 7th grade English, 8th grade English, and 7th grade science.
Before coming to Forestburg, I taught at Haltom Middle School for three years. I taught 6th and 7th grade science for one year, writing for one year, and a combined English writing/reading block for one year. I love teaching junior high!
I just got married in June of this summer! We have one son, Cash, who was born last October, who can’t wait to become a Longhorn. I have one pit bull, Jillie, who LOVES Cash, and two kitties!
I love to spend time outdoors! I love to go for walks and to go swimming. I have always loved riding horses as well. In my spare time, I love to read, write, and watch bad TV. I also can’t wait to travel to Europe some day.
